This is a good store. The beer and wine is cheaper than BevMo. Too bad the deli in the back closed. Hopefully the sandwich lady will come back someday.

My favorite local market! Folks are friendly, surprisingly wide selection of all sorts of necessities and groceries. And if you spend 30$ they give you a free lottery ticket!

Excellent deli sandwiches (and so cool that it's a separate biz they combine), and the market has EVERYTHING you need in a pinch. I appreciate that their prices are competitive, not looking to markup significantly so that they are there for the things you'd otherwise get at big chains.

The sandwich shop here is awesome and you can almost get just about anything you would need right away from the store that is inside. Gabby's is the new sandwich shop here. I just bought 6 sandwiches. Tried the Pastrami and wow. Way better quality

There are lots of things to buy not like other neighborhood market. They even sell socks, shirts, hats, firewoods, cooled wine, fruits and vegetables. Specially their deli shop is very well known with so delicious all sorts of sandwiches. The owner is a painter who enjoys sharing his recent works with customers who have good relationship for a long time. Go and visit this shop, you will enjoy nice talk with him in the afternoon.

Definition of your local community grocery store. better selection than most small grocery / liquor stores in East Oakland. They have decent prices, and the owners really care about being part of the community and supporting it. They also host a sandwich shop in the back during certain days of the week. Highly recommend.

A great spot to get what you need until you can get to a big store. The cashier always gives me a lottery ticket with my receipt. How cool is that!? Love this place! Also saw pics of Klay T...folks say he lives in the neighborhood...awesome! Just moved here, glad I came!

I truly enjoy shopping here rather than going to a supermarket. Its quick, convenient, with a wide selection of foods, wine, and household items. If you spend $30 or more, they will hand you a SuperLotto lottery ticket with your receipt! Great customer service, excellent selection of items for a market which helps make it a one-stop-shop. Ive bought ear phones and super glue to a bottle of wine with cheese and water crackers to fruits & veggies. If you live in the area, stop by for a snack or last minute grocery item. You will be amazed by what they have in stock.

Selection is great for a smaller corner shop! I’m always surprised at what I can find here and always appreciate that they have Vegitarian items like morning star bacon or sausage, non-meated pizza, soy sauce flavored ramen, etc. Usually stop for snacks but sometimes go for quick pinch essentials! Not 100% if I’ve met the owner but everyone I’ve encountered behind the register has been kind and helpful.
